MY DOP STYLE FOR 2024

For years, I’ve worked to bring cinematic techniques into the world of sports by using better gear, careful preparation, and a strong attention to visual detail.
My goal has always been to give sports productions a cinematic feel, turning action into emotion and creating visuals that truly stay with the viewer.

However, over time, I faced limitations that pushed me to rethink my approach. Tight schedules, complex logistics, and the challenge of carrying heavy gear to remote or mountainous areas quickly became a strain on both budget and workflow.
Even more importantly, too much equipment could feel intrusive for the people being filmed, especially in documentary settings, and often made certain action scenes harder to capture.

For 2025, my goal is to strike the right balance between the flexibility of lightweight shoots and the visual quality of larger productions. This means building more compact equipment setups to capture high-quality images in remote locations, while also carefully preparing larger filming environments to reduce downtime and stay as discreet as possible with the people being filmed.

The idea is to tell visually stunning stories while staying agile and adaptable. The goal is to face any challenge, whether it is difficult terrain, tight schedules, or limited budgets, without compromising the quality of the final image.

Advantages (+):
  • Quick to set up.

  • Suitable for hard-to-reach locations.

  • Less expensive than a large installation.

  • Not disruptive for the participants being filmed.

  • Allows you to film more easily in low light.

  • Offers plenty of room for creative shots.
