DOP.

role

The Director of Photography (DOP) ensures the visual consistency of the project. Working closely with the director, they translate creative intentions into powerful images by coordinating the human, technical, and artistic resources required for the final result.

Narrative

Support and Visual Development

I'm here to support the director or client from the very first stages, helping to transform an idea into a clear and compelling vision. Through thoughtful collaboration, I contribute to shaping the artistic direction by bringing visual inspirations, cinematic or photographic references, and proposing cohesive aesthetic intentions.

This shared creative process ensures that every technical decision framing, lighting, atmosphere serves the story. Once the vision is aligned, I develop a reliable, high-quality shooting plan that respects the project's constraints while enhancing its uniqueness.

My goal: to give each film a strong identity, true to the director's universe or the client's expectations, while ensuring smooth and efficient execution on set.

Technical

Expertise in Framing and Lighting

My technical expertise allows me to support each project with precision, bringing strong knowledge in both framing and lighting. This mastery ensures not only aesthetic consistency, but also the ability to make the right equipment choices from the very beginning of the production.

I can create a detailed and realistic list of the technical needs for the shoot (cameras, lenses, lighting sources, accessories) and the appropriate settings for each scene. This level of preparation ensures optimal efficiency on set while staying true to the artistic vision of the director or the client.

Beyond enhancing the visual quality of the final result, this technical skill set is essential for responding quickly to unexpected issues, adapting setups in real-time, and finding solutions without compromising the image.

Bridge

Team Management

On a set, it's crucial that everyone understands the vision of the project. My role is to bridge the gap between the creative ideas of the director or client and their technical execution. I translate creative intentions into clear instructions for the technical team and explain technical constraints in simple terms for the creatives.

I handle the briefs, ensure everyone knows their role, and make sure the final result meets expectations. With experience, I’ve also built a network of trusted people, whom I can recommend to form a strong and efficient team.
